Available Positions:
Installation Technician (Eldridge, IA)
Central Broadband is hiring an Installation Technician based in Eldridge, Iowa (near the Quad Cities).
What you’ll do:
- Install and repair internet, phone, and video services at customer locations.
- Troubleshoot service issues end-to-end to restore customer connectivity and satisfaction.
- Work both indoors (customer premises) and outdoors in varying conditions; it may include tight spaces and ladder/stair work.
- Participate in on-call rotation and occasional off-hours work.
Required qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- Excellent written/verbal communication; strong customer service mindset.
- Ability to work independently; detail-oriented; fast learner/self-starter.
- Strong troubleshooting ability.
- Comfortable with PCs and smartphone apps (Google/Microsoft/Adobe, etc.).
- Experience using basic hand tools and drills; safety-first mindset.
- Eligible to work in the USA.
Preferred:
- Cabling experience; CATV/IPTV exposure; basic electrical theory.
Physical/working Requirements:
- Valid driver’s license; able to drive company vehicles and travel to customer locations.
- Push/pull/bend/stoop/climb/reach; lift 75 lbs; work on ladders/stairs and in tight spaces.
- Good hearing and ability to distinguish colors; pass drug testing.
